F.lli Merlini was born in 1900 when is Alessandro Merlini and his sons Amedeo, Guido, Giuseppe said “Bepi” and Giovanni said “Bruno” started the business of threshing for others with a small workshop for the repair of its equipment.
Around 1955 Guido Merlini together with his son Alessandro began to build the first farm equipment mostly on animal traction. In 1959 Guido passed away prematurely, and in 1962 his son Alessandro with his brothers Raffaello said “Moro”, Alberto said “Bertino” and Luciano founded the "A. Merlini & Fratelli " beginning the construction of new farm machinery such as machine to unload the hay, machine to load hay, Comb-side delivery rakes, and with over the years went into production tank trailers, manure spreaders, trailers and trailers for forage.
The production of agricultural machinery was always accompanied from the original threshing for others until 1982 when the company changed its name to "Costruzioni Meccaniche Merlini F.lli snc".
In 1992, the activity of construction of agricultural machinery, was flanked by the activity of construction of body for truck.
As early as 1978, the "F.lli Merlini" began to be present in foreign markets by exporting its machines first in France and then in Spain over the years increasing its exports. Since 2000, the export activity starts to increase with the acquisition of importers in Northern Europe, Europe of 'East and in the Mediterranean countries.
At the end of 2009 the business was taken over by sons of Luciano (Andrea and Elena) and the grandson of Alexander (Marco) by changing the company name to "F.lli snc Merlini of Andrea Merlini, Elena, Marco" trying to carry on the corporate activities with passion, building machines robust and suitable to meet the needs of the various farms (for agriculture) and for construction companies and transport (for the sector of body trucks ).
The new company has expanded its sales network by acquiring new dealers in countries such as Australia, Canada, Ecuador and China, and is always looking for new and emerging markets.
